Galczynski Architects is a design firm located in Calvert County Maryland with experience in historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and new construction of commercial as well as residential projects. Headed by Principal Scott Galczynski AIA, the firm strives to achieve excellence in design no matter the size of the project.

Started in late 2007 in a weak economy, Galczynski Architects has had to start from the bottom and work its way up. We are happy to report that through creativity, attention to detail and providing good value for the money, Galczynski Architects has been on an upward trajectory and fully expects to keep growing over the next several years.

As a small, local firm we understand the importance of providing each client with the highest level of professional service. This attention to detail starts with the first meeting and continues through the final punch list. Our goal is that every step of the project is as enjoyable and beautiful as possible, beginning with drawings and 3D models, and continuing through the final built design.

Scott has over eighteen years of professional experience. He has worked on large urban projects in New York(NY), Boston(MA), Providence(RI), and New Haven(CT) as well as other cities. His work experience has also included large and small single family residences in Newport(RI), Boston(MA), and Cape Cod(MA) while working for other firms.

In late 2007 he relocated to Calvert County Maryland and decided to start his own architectural firm. His work since that time has been largely residential including houses in Nova Scotia, Colorado and numerous examples in Maryland, from the DC Metro area to Solomons Island. Scott’s hobbies include spending time outdoors with his family, painting abstract pictures and raising chickens.
